Useful information for frequent travellers.

Are you travelling?
Grab a refrigerator magnet on your way out the door!
Always  take a small magnet on your
vacation, they come in handy at the end of every stop.
This is  pretty good info. Never even thought about key cards containing anything other than an access code for the room

Ever  wonder what is on your magnetic key card?
a.  Customer’s name
b.  Customer’s partial home address
c.  Hotel room number
d.  Check-in date and out dates
e. Customer’s  credit card number and expiration date!

When  you turn them in to the front desk your personal information is there for  any employee to access by simply scanning the card in the hotel scanner.. An  employee can take a hand full of cards home and using a scanning device,  access the information onto a laptop computer and go shopping at your  expense.
Simply  put, hotels do not erase the information on these cards until an employee  reissues the card to the next hotel guest. At that time, the new guest’s  information is electronically ‘overwritten’ on the card and the previous  guest’s information is erased in the overwriting  process.

But  until the card is rewritten for the next guest, it usually is kept in a  drawer at the front desk with YOUR INFORMATION ON IT!

The  bottom line is: Keep the cards, take them home with you, or destroy them.  NEVER leave them behind in the room or room wastebasket, and NEVER turn them  into the front desk when you check out of a room. They will not charge you  for the card (it’s illegal) and you’ll be sure you are not leaving a lot of  valuable personal information on it that could be easily lifted off with any  simple scanning device card reader.

For the  same reason, if you arrive at the airport and discover you still have the  card key in your pocket, do not toss it in an airport trash basket. Take it  home and destroy it by cutting it up, especially through the electronic  information strip!

If you  have a small magnet, pass it across the magnetic strip several times. Then  try it in the door, it will not work. It erases everything on the  card.

Do FORWARD to friends and family.

Don’t cry over split milk

A wise man once sat in the audience and cracked a joke.  All of them laughed like crazy..

After a moment he cracked the same joke again & a little less people laughed this time…

He cracked the same one again & no one laughed!!!

Then he smiled and said

when you can’t laugh on the same joke again & again then why do you keep crying over the same thing over & over again

FORGET the past and MOVE ON………

Alone I can say,

but together we can shout.

Alone I can smile,

but together we can laugh.

Alone I can enjoy,

but together we can celebrate!

Best regards,

Uncle Teng

A question was posed to Dalai Lama

A question was posed to Dalai Lama:

What is the thing about humanity that surprises you the most?

His answer was as follows:

“Man” – Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money.

Then he sacrifices his money to recuperate his health.

And then he is so anxious about the future that he doesn’t enjoy the present,

And as a result he doesn’t live in the present or the future. And he lives as if he’s never going to die, and then he dies having never really lived.”

Noah’s Ark

Noah’s Ark Everything I need to know, I learned from Noah’s Ark.

ONE: Don’t miss the boat.

TWO: Remember that we are all in the same boat.

THREE: Plan ahead. It wasn’t raining when Noah built the Ark.

FOUR: Stay fit. When you’re 60 years old, someone may ask you to do something really big.

FIVE: Don’t listen to critics; just get on with the job that needs to be done.

SIX: Build your future on high ground.

SEVEN: For safety’s sake, travel in pairs.

EIGHT: Speed isn’t always an advantage. The snails were on board with the cheetahs.

NINE: When you’re stressed, float awhile.

TEN: Remember, the Ark was built by amateurs; the Titanic by professionals.

ELEVEN: No matter the storm, when you are with God, there’s always a rainbow waiting.

My instructions were to send this to people that I wanted God to bless and I picked you. Please pass this to people you want to be blessed.

About life

About life

A lecturer, when explaining stress management to an audience,
 Raised a glass of water and asked;
‘How heavy is this glass of water?’
Answers called out ranged from 20g to 500g.

The lecturer replied, ‘The absolute weight doesn’t matter.
It depends on how long you try to hold it.
If I hold it for a minute, that’s not a problem.
If I hold it for an hour, I’ll have an ache in my right arm.
If I hold it for a day, you’ll have to call an ambulance.
In each case, it’s the same weight, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes.

 He continued,
and that’s the way it is with stress management.
If we carry our burdens all the time, sooner or later,
As the burden becomes increasingly heavy,
We won’t be able to carry on.
As with the glass of water,
You  have to put it down for a while and rest before holding it  again.
When we’re refreshed, we can carry on with the burden.

So, before you return home tonight, put the burden of work or whatever is bothering you down. Don’t carry it home. You can pick it up tomorrow.
Whatever burdens you’re carrying now,
Let them down for a moment if you can. ‘So, my friend put down anything that may be a burden to you right now. Don’t pick it up again until after you’ve rested a while.

Here are some great ways of dealing with the burdens of life:

 * Accept that some days you’re the pigeon, and some days you’re the statue.  **

 * Always keep your words soft and sweet, Just in case you have to eat them.  **

* Drive carefully. It’s not only cars that can be “Recalled” by their maker.  **

* If you can’t be kind, at least has the decency to be vague.  **

 * If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.  **

 * It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to be kind to others. **

 * Never put both feet in your mouth at the same time, because then you won’t have a leg to stand on. **

 * Nobody cares if you can’t dance well. Just get up and dance.  **
 * When everything’s coming your way, you’re in the wrong lane.  **

 * Birthdays are good for you. The more you have, the longer you live.  **

 * You may be only one person in the world, but you may also be the world to one person.  **

* Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once.  **

* We could learn a lot from crayons… Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names, and all are different colors, but they all have to live in the same box.  ** *

*A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on a detour.  **

* Have an awesome day and know that someone has thought about you today …*
